Hello Deep Cove community!
Our Diversity Club has been talking about ways to help others in our community and around the world. This month, we are choosing to support refugees coming to the peninsula.
The
Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Center Society has expressed a need for
new arrival care packages. We will be collecting donations of the
following items to form care packages
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soaps and body wash
- Deodorant
- Tampons and sanitary items
- Wash cloths
- Hair brushes or combs
Most
of these things can be found at the dollar store or on sale for a good
price, but they go a long way in making a refugee family feel welcome in
Canada.
Please have your child bring any donations to school before May 23rd.
