Hello families. Please watch for your child's assessment updates! Teachers are communicating student learning in one of two ways. Some staff are using Fresh Grade which is a digital way to communicate student learning. A recent post will give a quick summary of progress that is supported by the many posts which outline learning achievements since September. Some staff are communicating learning through traditional report cards and these will have either made it home already or will be coming home tonight. Please sign and return the envelopes to acknowledge receipt of this information.
In Saanich, as with other districts around the province, we use the BC Ministry Proficiency Scale to communicate students’ level of understanding within a given subject area. The Ministry has created the following visual to help explain the new language.
