Hello Deep Cove Families!
We are in the midst of doing some wonderful work in the library around the beautiful books by Linda Kranz:
You Be You and Only One You.
These books look at how we all have something to share with the world.
Appreciating our differences and being unique is what makes us stronger
as a community.
To celebrate this, we are going to do a whole school art project! In
keeping with the theme of the books, we will each be painting a rock
which we will use to create a large Deep Cove art instillation!
If you have time this week, please help your child find a rock (no
bigger than the palm of their hand and as flat and smooth as possible)
to bring to school by December 3. I will have extras should you not be
able to find one. Feel free to bring extras, too!
Students! Please mark your rock with your name in Sharpie on the bottom
and put it in the bin in your class that will be labelled "rocks."
