Remembrance Day Assembly and Notes for the Week

4 quick notes to share with you at the start of this week:

We will be holding our Remembrance Day assembly this Friday at 10:15 AM.  This assembly will be held in the main gym and is open to family members, and members of our community.  We would be happy to have you join us if you are able.

Ms. von Schuckmann and Ms. Norris-Jones' class did a wonderful job presenting about the value of failure and the virtue of peacefulness at this morning's Beliefs Assembly.  We heard great words from the students around perseverance and the learning that comes from failure, and also thoughts on the virtue of peacefulness as we focus on Remembrance Day this week.

A quick note of thanks to all of our parent volunteers.  We have benefited greatly from volunteers putting on events and programs such as the book fair, the haunted house, hot lunch, not to mention helping in classrooms and on field trips.  Thanks for all your support for our kids, and please consider volunteering for the upcoming Deep Cove Fair which requires many hands to make it a success which benefits our school tremendously over the course of the year.

Finally, please see attached information about a 6-week after school program with Mad Science in January and February.  There is currently an "early bird" deal for registration for those who might be interested.
