On Behalf of the Navy League of Canada-NLCC Admiral Martin,  we would like to invite all Deep Cove Elementary students that have reached the age of 9 years old to a free open house to experience the exciting Navy League Cadet program on the Saanich Peninsula.  Open houses are taking place on Tuesday evenings between 6:30 and 8:00pm at our cadet hall located at 9565 Hurricane Rd. (at the Victoria airport.)

 

About Navy League Cadets:

 

The Navy League Cadet program is a program developed for kids between the ages of 9 to 12 years of age and is open to both boys and girls.  Navy League Cadets teaches citizenship, leadership, discipline, self-respect all of which builds confidence within a fun and safe environment with a nautical theme.

 

Unlike many youth based programs the cost is FREE. .

 

Cadets is fun, challenging, rewarding and educational.  As a member of the NLCC Admiral Martin Cadet Corps, cadets experience such exciting things as; 


§  Boating, sailing, swimming and water safety

§  Camping, hiking, snow-skiing

§  Bridge Simulator

§  Participate in parades and community events

§  Play sports and make new friends

§  Learn knot tying, communications and other seamanship skills

§  Travel to numerous locations around Vancouver Island.


The Navy League Cadet training is delivered in a highly structured environment by trained Navy League of Canada Officers who play a key role in helping to foster the development of self-discipline, confidence, leadership and teamwork.
