Parenting Programs

Boys & Girls Club Services of Greater Victoria, Parenting Programs, have a full slate of programs and workshops for parents / caregivers of children / youth, age 8-19, in April. Few seats are still available in all!!  
 
Programs:
Parenting Without Power Struggles (PWPS) - 10 week program for parents / caregivers of preteens, age 8-13. Thu, Apr 3 - Jun 5. Free childminding available!!!
Parents Together (PT) - weekly ongoing sessional program for parents / caregivers of teens, age 13-19. Begins Tue, Apr 8.

Evening Community Workshops:
Parenting in a Digital Age - special presentation and guest speaker, Merlyn Horton, Executive Director of SOLOS, Safety Online Outreach Society, for parents / caregivers of children / youth, age 8-19. Wed, Apr 9.
Step-parenting: Blending Families for Today - co-facilitating with Michelle Willis, Y & F counsellor, Ecole Bayside Middle School - for parents / caregivers of children / youth, age 8-19. Mon, Apr 14.
Kids Have Stress Too! From Stressed Out to Chilled Out - co-facilitating with Cindy Andrew, Psychology Foundation of Canada - for parents / caregivers of children / youth, age 8-19. Wed, Apr 23.

                Subsidies available for above programs.
                Participants - pre-register with BGCS as class sizes are limited.
 
These are education and group support parenting programs / workshops that provide an attachment / relationship building and strengths-based focus, offered in a respectful, confidential smaller group environment for all participants.
