Dear Deep Cove parents,

The students of Deep Cove Elementary have been working hard with our artist in residence to learn a cultural dance and they are doing a fantastic job thanks to the support of the teachers and principal on this initiative.

We will be showcasing our dance numbers at a final year end multicultural show at the school on June 9thcalled "Around the World with Granny". Auditions are being finalized and we are now looking to hunt down character costumes.

We are seeking your help to find and borrow specific costumes for the show. It doesn't have to be exact, but close enough to work with to create the character.

We are looking for the following costumes:
-goose (to fit a kindergartener )
-fish (to fit a kindergartener)
-frog (to fit a kindergartener )
-turtle (to fit a kindergartener)
-duck (to fit a kindergartener )
-old woman wig
-sari material to borrow for backdrops
-about 20 kids medium size brown or black Tshirts
-Chinese lanterns

Also, we are seeking parent volunteers to help clear the stage area on May 19th in preparation for our show.

If you have any of these items that we could borrow or are interested in helping out with this initiative, please contact Reziah: Reziah1@gmail.com
Or Tess: ttown@shaw.ca

Thank you,
Deep Cove's Multicultural Planning Team
