The amount available for Special Funding Request (SFR) distribution in the 2014/15 school year is $25,000. SFR submissions totalled $29,495 and through discussion and vote at the Nov 5 General Meeting, parents and guardians balanced the budget at $24,995.
A special thank you to the parents, guardians, faculty and administration who submitted SFRs to improve our children’s school experience. Thank you to those parents who attended the General Meeting to participate in determining how best to allocate the funds.
Please note that we will only have similar funds next year if we are able to put on another successful Christmas Fair. The funds made at this year’s Christmas Fair will be put towards supporting next year’s SFRs. It is critical that everyone supports by volunteering for, and attending, the Christmas Fair – it directly benefits your child by providing them with educational, extracurricular, play, arts and cultural resources.
